Today is National Couples Day.
It is marked each year on August 18 since 2010 and the beginning are obscure.
It celebrates the romantic partnering of people everywhere.
It focuses on shared routines, mutual support, and quality time.
It's not so much a time for gifting as it is for being together.
It's a lovely thing to be coupled off with someone you really care about.
It's also sad when things come to an end as they sometimes do.
