National Coffee Day 2026

So from Mare Island at Vallejo California there was my indoctrination into coffee as a breakfast item.
Over the years I became more accustomed to a civilized 'cup of joe' and indulged the hot drink from after that onwards.
Today is National Coffee Day.
Aroma, body, acidity, and flavor comprise an evasive balance I'm after. There was a time when I would buy roasted beans and grind my own perc mix. I have even been known to spring for a bag of Luwak beans which were shitted out of the ass of civets somewhere in Malaysia. That was a big 100 dollar bag of nothing. I didn't even get stank bref.
I'll have to admit that the primary impetus for me and my porcelain cup was the kick of the caffiene. I like a nice pickmeup to get me going on occasion.
