I have known a number of persons named Charles in my lifetime. They were all varied in stature, humor, and intellect and it stands to reason that this is due to the variance between people in general.
Today is National Charles Day.
It is observed on November 16 annually and is dedicated to celebrating and increasing awareness of the name "Charles".
This day also offers a moment in time to discuss famous people named Charles in the world, their contributions, and the uniqueness of their names.
The meaning of the name, nicknames, and variations may also come to the fore. Charles is from the Germanic word ‘Karl,’ meaning a "full-grown man" or simply "a man".
Charles, Prince of Wales, was born November 14, 1948, is the late Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest son who became King after being heir to the British throne for a very long while. He was a good son who declined to request his mother's abdication. However, I have personally had moments where I considered his general taste in women and female companionship.
As for me, I am okay with my own name which is not Charles, but is biblical and means 'beloved'.
