Actually, it was my sister's but I had enough interaction with and administered sufficient care to declare the animal "mine" as it were. Just how many feedings does it take to make such claims, anyway.
Today is National Black Cat Day.
It is wrangled into the collective consciousness each October 27 under the auspices of an organization called Cats Protection in 2011 in an effort to raise awareness about the lower adoption rates of black and black and white felines.
The day originates in the UK and has improved the adoption rates of cats all over.
