National Apple Day 2026

I grew up consuming mass quantities of apples. I liked all kinds — for different reasons.
I love the sweet red delicious for it's juice and in apple salad.
I pursue granny smiths for the tart variation for which I often hunger.
The yellow delicious is my go to for a somewhat softer sweet mellowness which was likely on my mind, particularly in the autumn.
Today is National Apple Day.
It is observed each October 21 under the auspices of the UK charity Common Ground since 1990.
This year it comes around Wednesday, October 21.
It's an important feature of National Apple Month which is the month of October here in the US.
Ah, harvest time, cooler weather, it's so memory invoking.
