I'm really not big on the junk food thing. This being said, a snack isle pickup pretty much left me feeling justified in my avoidance of these empty calories. The fact that I am left feeling 'suckered' as well is neither here nor there.
I went to the local grocery today and one of the items I picked up was 'Crunch n Munch' which is some spin on crackerjacks with bigger popcorn and a different coating ...
and no peanuts.
Yes, the box said that there were both popcorn AND peanuts in this buttery toffee mix but alas, if there was a peanut I missed it and the only peanut material I saw was dust at the bottom of the mylar bag inside the box containing the product.
So I supposed the gist of the matter surrounds caveat emptor: let the buyer beware and I need to stop being so gullible while traversing the grocery store aisles behind my little cart.
Just because they say the product contains peanuts you may not be able to prove it to yourself. The sugar overload couldn't have been good for me, either.
Anyway, guess who has bought their last 'Crunch n Munch' ever.
Boo !
