Memorial Day 2023
I've always been pretty patriotic. I suppose they drum it into you when you're a Navy brat. Regardless, I have a soft spot for the families of the missing and the fallen and I try to remember them whenever I can.The last Monday in May is Memorial Day. It is a federal holiday which honors those who lost their lives in service of their country. For many Americans, Memorial Day signifies the beginning of summer — but that underlying significance remains remembering and honoring the service of our war dead.
