Yeah, I was never a mathematician. I struggled with all manner of math primarily due to my resistance to my daddy's training techniques.
In the end, I learned to do algebra with words with both advanced facility and relative ease. This afforded me those capabilities others in my midst would have never thought I would be capable.
If you can code with skill you can code to solve math problems. I'm living proof ...
Suffice it to say with the ability to write subroutines to handle the mechanics the math monster was tamed totally and without compromise.
Today is Mathematics Day. It is held each December 22 in celebration of India’s famed mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
He is one who could actually be called genius and his work is second to none on a par with any great math mind who has ever lived.
So, even though I couldn't cut the mustard without a microprocessor and sufficient hardware resources there are others who mastered the theory and practicalities of math within the confines of that great computing device they carry between their ears.
Happy Mathematics Day and Happy Birthday Srinivasa Lyengar Ramanujan.
