Lost in Upgrades

I have been implementing a new distro of my OS on the mail server.
I rather wish I had waited but it's too late after you blow away the existing install.
The new distribution (like so many of the older ones) presents features unknown to me and requiring research and study of the modules and their impact upon operations.
Luckily, I have advised the critical others regarding the mail server's status and now have the time to pursue this matter.
Today I will reinstall for the fourth time.
Each time the install is quicker because I am better prepared for it.
They say that the resilient young become the wise old.
I keep wondering what the resilient old become ...
