Larry King, rest in peace

Larry King

Journalist Larry King passed on January 23, 2021 at age 87.

He was born Lawrence Harvey Zeiger on November 19, 1933 and became an American television and radio host,as well as a paid spokesman winning awards including two Peabodys, an Emmy award, and 10 Cable ACE Awards.

His journalistic career began in the 1950s through the 1960s in Florida where he did journalism and radio interviews. This progressed through the Larry King Show on the Mutual Broadcasting System in 1978, a radio gig where people nationwide would call in all night.

Having held many third shift work assignments in my day I encounterd him periodically while listening the the radio and performing my duties.

He also had a nightly interview television program called Larry King Live on CNN. I don't know how he was able to maintain any sense of journalistic integrity in such a fake news lying company manipulative dirtbag such as CNN ... but he did.

He wound up on Larry King Now which was a part of the streaming television markets and Politicking with Larry King which he hosted til his death last Saturday.

Larry King married eight times to seven women. He was briefly married to a lady named Annette Kaye who gave birth to his namesake, Larry King, Jr whom he did not meet until he was in his 30s.

He suffered heart disease and a major heart attack as well as two strokes, each of which left him in comas for weeks.

On January 23, 2021, he died at the age of 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was the last living vestiage of journalistic integrity who ever worked at CNN.

Rest in peace.
