Wall St Daily reports on the portends of an internet deep within the next administration of the USA ... with plenty of doom and gloom wall to wall street.
It's pretty much inkeeping with my trepidations regarding IoT (internet of things) and the incorporation of much of that we view as utility into the rest of our online experiences and the possibilites are indeed astounding.
We presently have hackable databases and hackable power grids with the manufacturers seemingly indifferent to the hacking of the NSA with subsequent intellectual properties they developed being put up for sale and exposing flaws in the infrastructures of cisco and others who connect us all together.
Add to this the propensity for any manner of skullduggery from remote locations to those things controlling our environments and voila you have the makings of catastrophe on a positively cataclysmic scale at your fingertips as it were.
These moving targets which is the criminal element of the cyber variety with their "traceless" malware products and our failures to detect them until its far too late will be our technological undoing unless swift decisive actions are taken to throttle the darknet and that element it hides deep within it's bowels.
Yes, some stuff is going to go down and it will likely be pretty devastating at several levels because we lack those swift decisive actions the ISPs can't interrupt the raking in of all that cash to undertake.
Oh well, I suppose I'm prepared to go off the grid if need be but one thing is sure:
I won't be paying these large monthly fees for high bandwidth nodes that I can't use because stupidity runs the show ... and in my particular instance stupidity does indeed run the show.
