International Museum Day 2018
I have always been one to visit museums. I enjoy viewing the collections of various things including art, science exhibits, and technology in particular.I think this enjoyment was cultivated by my dear late Aunt Millie who took my sister and I on a guided tour of Washington D.C. when we were children so very long ago — a hallmark of which was a visit to the Smithsonian Institution which has stayed with me all those years from then until now ...

Today, the International Council of Museums (ICOM) gives us International Museum Day. "IMD" is a thematic event whereby museum curators and others have the opportunity to meet the public and increase public awareness of the important role of museums in society.
This year's theme is "Hyperconnected museums: New approaches, new publics".
