I am immune to information overload. It comes from years of handling the needs of diverse and populous work environments without bitch slapping some workaday world anus who deserved it.
• Yes Richland Hospital
• Yes Duchess
• Yes West Coast
• Yes Bechtel
• Yes State Tech
• Yes Fort Jackson
• Yes Chipco
• Yes City of Columbia
• Yes several thousand incidentals along the way ...
I was able to get in there and handle the situation then get out with my sanity ... at least what I perceived to be my sanity — intact.
Today is Information Overload Day an annual feature of October 20.
It's a day is for stepping back from daily information processing and having a look.
I don't do social media so it's never a consideration. I receive text messages regularly but rarely send them.
I hit the emails pretty hard but have good keyboard skills as well.
This is a day to take a break from all of that.
The day arises from the efforts of one Jonathan Spira in 2009 when he cited Information Overload as his company's problem of the year.
Pooh. Phooey. Crybaby.
IMHO information overload only happens in the presence of those inferior skills of the non hacker.
