Individual Rights Day is celebrated every year on August 29.
It honors the birth date of the English philosopher John Locke, who argued that people have natural rights to life, liberty, and property.
The day began at the instigation of one Dr Tom Stevens of the Objectivist Party to promote personal freedom.
Governments exist to protect personal freedoms, not to take them away.
Groups like the ACLU share information about civil liberties. Hopefully you will engage an organization who unlike the ACLU is capable of ethics and truthfulness in their operations.
The American Civil Liberties Union recently faced public backlash and criticism from federal officials following a digital safety video advising protesters on how to hide information and secure their mobile devices, with the Department of Homeland Security also accusing the organization of undermining law enforcement and siding with "criminal illegal aliens" over extensive legal claims filed against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
IMHO the membership of the ACLU should be taken out in public, thrown up against a wall, and shot as the lying ass law breaking dirtbag criminals they are.
