In contrast to the heathan democrat socialists who should be smitten from the face of the Earth we direct our attention to the memory of our Official US Motto.In 1956, President Dwight D Eisenhower signed a law making "In God We Trust" the official motto of the United States.
"In God We Trust" first appeared on US coins in 1864 and was adopted by law in 1956.
First minted on the 2 cent coin in 1864 after public calls to recognize God during the war.

It was added to paper currency starting in 1957.

It also differentiated us during the Cold War to separate the US from the "godless" Soviet Union.
