There was a time when I loved to go shopping. I would walk around various stores impulse buying in an idyllic manner. Then my boss decided she would stop even bothering to schedule with me and assign work on an impromptu and immediate basis.
That pretty much put a stop to that and I put a stop to her by finally getting fed up with all the bullshit and resigning.
So much for idyllic, eh?
I never recovered that enjoyment I once felt for buying those things essential to my existence. Nowadays you go to Walmart and you're acosted by panhandlers who want a handout while you're there trying to SAVE money.
There is other panhandling at many of the intersections around town and even though it's illegal, that illegality is not enforced.
So now I park, get in in a hurry, and do not look around while traversing the parking lot.
Luckily I have a concealed carry permit which allows open carry in my state.
There have been a number of robberies in the local Walmart parking lots by hispanics who obviously aren't receiving enough entitlements from the democrats.
Law and order no longer prevail in South Carolina.
People drive 10 miles an hour while texting and nobody does anything. Yet it's absolutely required that they stop me for not wearing a seat belt.
I'm not callous to homelessness. I just cannot provide a solution and the local so-called "missions" responsible for such provisions aren't doing the job and indeed appear to make the problem worse. This leaves the homeless person to prey on me and my sense of sympathy and that simply isn't flying either.
Consequently, I'm losing respect for the keepers of the peace in these surroundings given the fact that they go after me instead of the "real" law breakers.
People panhandle me all the time yet I get fined for a seat belt violation.
It's as though they don't have adequate duties otherwise.
