He is an American singer, songwriter, and musician and has worked in a theatrical style of heavy metal utilizing props and illusions.
Al is is known for the character of his voice and those shock rock performances that combine horror dramatics with a raw sound for which he has become famous.
I have also seen him dress down and set a rude front row audience member straight in no uncertain terms.
His shows have evolved over the years and he is still quite the character both up close and from afar.
My favorite songs of his are Only Women Bleed and Schools Out.
He is a perennial favorite of mine because he continually forges new frontiers and I always take the time to hear his work.
