Guardian Angels Day 2023

Rosie Cepero
I have watched a lot of Rosie Cepero on her Angels Among Us television series on TLC. Its about mediumship and the interaction between her and angels surrounding her clients ...

To whom she refers as "guardian angels" on the show.

Now, I'm fine with this but it contradicts my biblical training whereby I learned that "angels" are separate beings from the "souls" of people who have passed on. It stands contrary to my learning that angels were never people and the two are not interchangable.

Be all of this as it may, the series is quite enjoyable with her sessions between various clips of her and her family and I wouldn't mind watching it every day were it available.

She is not at all like the Long Island Medium who is simply quite a bit more urbane and dressy somewhat loud and garish as well as coifed for my tastes ...

But as always to each their own. You don't have to be "like me" to be "liked by me" and I like both of the ladies quite a bit.

Today is Guardian Angels Day, an annual observance each October 2nd.

It is said to be a day for recognition of guardian angels and those protective roles they assume in our lives.

The feast of guardian angels was declared by Pope Clement X in the 1670s to be held on October 2. It was first authorized in 1608 by Pope Paul V.

Various religions believe in guardian angels, who are said to hold the lowest rank of angels in general. I personally feel that I do not have a guardian angel. However, I would simply love to be proven wrong in this conviction some day it just hasn't happened yet.

Regardless, I do not feel that a guardian angel who is a late loved one is truly an "angel" in the classical definition. I would also like for someone in authority to explain this to me. How can a person born as a human become an angelic being upon passing. I feel certain that I will likely have to wait for my next iteration for that answer.
