Google Riff Raff

So I tried to allow google back on my network over the weekend. I don't intentionally block them but as many earnest efforts go this one too was a dismal failure.
You see, in addition to the google bots you have to permit the various riff raff that utilize their networks with impunity to steal and tresspass so guess whose back in the firewall rules ???
I suppose when you're the single most evil company on the planet this is to be expected.
Yes, google. IP Tables are kind of like nuking from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. You can add all manner of mod rewrite to apache and the lamers still get it all wrong.
You tell IP Tables to prevent access and it's a done deal.
I'm happy that at least some things are dependable. I just wish google would prevent riff raff from attacking web assets like it's some extant requirement.
Imagine the nerve of thinking yourself that entitled ... but they do.
