These days my memory is pretty good. As a result I have many memories upon which to draw when I collect my thoughts.
I remember mess that I should have discarded long ago. Then it throws up blocks on sigificant data like multiplcation tables.
It is at once soothing and infuriating. It's been this way all my life.
Good memories punctuate all the others. I remember the good times and the bad. I remember who took care of me when I couldn't take care of myself. This has made me a strong proponent of the fifth commandment.
My brain, though as complex as any other is not that to which I attribute many of my memories.
Somehow I feel that they also are triggered by my heart.
Today is Good Memory Day.
It hapens each January 19 and was established to encourage us to reserve time for positive thoughts and not leave them delegated to the past.
I try to remember the good times that the bad won't predominate anything.
Happy Good Memory Day to you and I hope all your memories are fond ones.
