My life of skateboarding ended in Aragona Village of Virginia Beach, Va sometime around the 4th grade. Some people have what it takes. I didn't feel that my skills had any technical merit, however.
Skateboarding is an outlet for all that rebelliousness, freedom, and creativity pent up in your carcass while navigating the workaday world. Though I likely will never again partake, I urge you to get out there and strut your stuff if you have the cahones. Just call me 'capon'.
