It is with great sadness that I mark the passing of Gilbert Gottfried, comedian, television personality, and star of the big and small screen.
He was a perennial favorite with me and my penchant for the many controversial jokes he let loose.
He was personally responsible for me losing my account with and subsequent hatred of the pussies of Aflac.
Gilbert Jeremy Gottfried was born February 28, 1955 and passed yesterday, April 12, 2022.
He was an actor with roots in stand-up comedy.
His comedic persona featured a rather harsh voice and humor that was not always welcome in polite company.
His appearances on Hollywood Squares frequently brought on riotous laughter with his spontaneous one liners and were a guaranteed hoot.
He did numerous portrayals in film and television.
Gilbert Gottfried died on April 12, 2022 due to a heart abnormality called ventricular tachycardia due to myotonic dystrophy type II.
