In my childhood a fixture on the television was the late Reverend Billy Graham, a Protestant televangelist who held numerous crusades for which my mother had quite a bit more than a passing affinity. |
He followed in his father's footsteps as a Protestant evangelist and missionary.
He was likely influenced by his mother, Ruth McCue Bell Graham who was an inspirational woman who passed in 2007 and for whom I held a great abiding respect.
She was a favorite personality I would engage in various writing, sound bytes, and video clips over the years and she lent strength to me in times of personal trouble and sadness.
