Frankenstein Day 2023

Frankenstein, Wolfman, Dracula, and oh the list went on.
It was a rite of passage I believe.
I portrayed many different characters on super 8mm film by the 50 foot roll.
Frankenstein Day is held each August 30 and celebrates the novel from which the iconic character became part and parcel of my youth.
Mary Shelly published Frankenstein in 1818 and it has been part and parcel of my imagination my entire life.
Victor Frankenstein's creation still is a memorable part of my childhood and I miss those times in which he was at the forefront of my interests and pursuits.
The book became a franchise with the advent of Bride of Frankenstein and Son of Frankenstein which were sequels which sprang forth from the story line.
I hope you'll take a moment and consider the fun of those monsters I have cherished as a child and remember as a man.
