Festival of Popular Delusions Day 2022

blue glass head
In my old age I suffer from few to no delusions.

Wasn't always that way. As I have previously mentioned I was a fantasy prone child held in the grip of fleeting and interchangable reality and fantasy aspects of life.

While I'm happy to say that all of this left me somewhere in the vicinity of my 28th year, there are groups which suffered far longer.

Like the democrats and their woke ilk who think it's okay for men to think they're women and women to think they're men. What a lot of unscientific delusional self indulgent buffoons.

Today is the Festival of Popular Delusions Day; a rather dubious observance from World War II.

It seems that on On June 6, 1944 some 150,000 plus troops arrived at Normandy in France to retake Western Europe from the Third Reich.

June 5, 1944, was that final day prior to the invasion and the Nazis had this delusion that their Reich would last for more than a thousand years.

So each year on June 5th we observe the Festival Of Popular Delusions Day in memory of the sick evil empire and their megalomaniac view of world domination.

I'm just glad I don't have any delusions that I know of ... popular or otherwise.

However, reality can be a very tough pill forced upon us sometimes.
