Even in leap years when it gains an additional day it remains the shortest day of the year.
So much for those observance months which coincide with it's brief run once today is over.
Now, I'm not too big on commemorations. I'm not into the trinkets and kitsch associated therewith.
So Valentines Day and the rest of it all just have to mosey on down the road and wish they had been given a month more significant in the big scheme of things.
