Father's Day 2023
The third Sunday in June is set aside for us to honor our fathers. Typically, this involves traveling to them and gift and card giving.It's yet another Father's day since the passing of both my biological father and my stepfather.
They were both career military men. My biological father was an E-9 Navy Nuke Machinist Mate. My stepfather was an E-7 Air Force Master Sergeant.
Both of these men had distinguished careers in their own right and took me as their own. They both tried to set me straight on various matters over the ensuing years.
Neither of them were wimpy men and when their ends came they both went down hard.
I have benefited from both their life experiences and I still miss them to this day.
