Well ... the Fall season is upon us. Ever since Sunday September 23rd.
While I normally welcome the time with open arms, it has been impossible to differentiate Autumn from Summer given the heat and humidity up to this point in the season.
Yes, those 100 degree days with 80 percent humidity kind of put a damper on the realization that cooler time should prevail.
Halloween will soon be here. It will be time for those holiday seasonal 'warm and fuzzies' to ensue. I always look forward to Halloween as the official start of the holiday season for me personally.
I've already noticed subtle changes in the color of the deciduous leafage and this progresses begining in June from what I've been able to gather over the years. Many don't notice that early start that was pointed out to me by my late friend, Dewitt.
So soon it will be 'Fair Week' that historical time for a drop in temperature. Unfortunately, I don't do the fair anymore. It simply doesn't attract me with it's lack of adult fare type attractions.
From a rather insipid southern approach they view it all as "family" fare while I view it all as dull and without entertainment merit.
However, I remain looking forward to the remainder of the hoildays as they progress one by one. Onward through January when they will wind up by and large until the next barrage the following fall.
