Dudeism and a lack of suitable activities

Dudeism's stated primary objective is to promote a modernistic Taoist orientation with additional concepts from the Ancient Greek philosophy as presented by the character of Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski portrayed by Jeff Bridges in the film.
March 6th is the annual sacred high holy day of Dudeism:
The Day of the Dude
All of this is taken entirely too seriously by some and I find that both amusing and somewhat sad.
However, inasmuch as I've never sat down and actually viewed the flick having had many opportunities to do so ... perhaps I am unqualified to even have an opinion at all.
