The utterly dubious nature of anything being attributed to COVID-19 anymore has me bristling with contempt for our governement who should have stayed totally out of the matter and disbelief of a medical establishment that gives all appearances of simply being out to make a haul by manipulation of a confused population.
Dawn Elberta Wells was an American actress whose primary claim to fame was her role as Mary Ann Summers on the CBS sitcom Gilligan's Island.
This was a program from my childhood which was watched copiously over the years and Mary Ann was simply one of those accepted as my own in my fantasy prone mind. In all my youngness I was unable to suspend disbelief and ignore incongruent feasibility. Thusly the premise of the show and the characters themselves presented no barriers to that personal enjoyment I likely would balk at nowadays.
Dawn Wells married one Larry Rosen when I was 7 and that union lasted some five childless years or so. She had encountered financial difficulities recovering from a fall in recent days and she passed last Wednesday at age 82 ... again from quite dubious claims of being the result of COVID-19. It seems that COVID-19 is all to convenient these days for our lazy, incompetent medical industrial complex and the associated fiscal ruination it has brought upon the country.
Dawn was fortunate to enjoy multiple spin offs and merchandising opportunities from her role as Mary Ann and even published a Gilligan's Island themed cookbook.
Regardless of all the trouble she endured she remains that dear part of my memory she always was.
