I believe I learned about the five senses early on in my primary education. I keep thinking the vicinity of Virginia Beach or maybe Hanahan, SC.
My strong interest in medical curiosa naturally lent itself to understanding the basic mechanism of the senses i.e., seeing, hearing, smelling, taste, and touch.
I have always prided my self on my sensory perception. I feel that I have the ability to both determine what is around me and it's potential for affecting my existence. There was a time I was intending to place all this high powered perception toward the reading of radiographs in some x-ray department ...
But that's another story.
Once I was oblivious to this diffuse input, opting for a nonreactive lack of interactivity; drab though it may have been.
Today is Celebration of the Senses Day. The day exists to remind us of our sensory abilities in an effort that they might be honed and sharpened as we progress along our journey.
Those sensory experiences in which we find ourselve immersed can sometimes be confusing in the absence of an experiential inventory upon which to draw.
This Celebration of the Senses Day is a good opportunity to utilize your senses to both sharpen your sensory perception and experience everything the world has to offer anew.
