My first real interest began with her rendition of "Birthday" in 1987 for all the imagery and the alleged controversial meaning said to be behind the lyrics.
She has done a fair amount of trip hop (aka portishead sound) pieces which I have also found quite interesting and has collaborated with a great number of artists and multitude of projects.
Her range is stupendous and her lyrics typically intriguing and then there are her various interactions which make the news that just rounds her out to be the total interesting package for a guy with diverse interests like me.
She also indulges various interests which are not in her musical realm such as acting and that too piques my interest in her from time to time.
Anyway, once you go Björk you never go back ... and I haven't.
She's quite a multifaceted talent and today is her birthday.
