A Christmas Carol is first published in 1843

A Christmas Carol 2019 TV Miniseries
Over the years I've seen many versions of the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol.

The story of Ebenezer Scrooge has been presented in different productions beginning with the Mr Magoo Christmas Carol through the Bill Murray comedy Scrooged to the avant garde version from 2019 adapted by Steven Knight and starring Guy Pearce, Andy Serkis, and Stephen Graham.

It's telling on my age to have witnessed so many productions of the same classic work which was first published on this day in 1843 with some 6000 copies being sold.

So this leaves me having both read the book several times and viewed many different iterations of the story on the stage and large and small screens.

I keep wondering if any underlying karma of this exists.

Regardless, I highly recommend being dipped in A Christmas Carol every now and then if you're so inclined.

There is a certain amount of leveling to be gained by the spirit when you sit through the entire performance and consider what you're seeing.

I rather think the 3 hours television miniseries is a bit long in the tooth for a straight no commercial break viewing as mother and I did a few weeks back.
