7-Eleven Day 2026

The place is now a hispanic seafood business and Looks NOTHING like a 7-11 — but back then all manner of goodies could be had for a buck or so and I was a frequent customer prior to relocating to Key West Florida under my Dad's Navy orders.
Alas, That was so long ago and I rue the loss of that simplicity of those times.
I was a rather uninvolved kid at George R Fishburne Elementary at that time. These days, each July 11th the store tries to pay homage to it's name and roots by offering free small Slurpees.
In my day the drink was Icee and I don't recall the circumstances of the switch to Slurpee but the products are for all practical intentions totally identical.
