What a nothing X is
I just deactivated my very short duration X account. I left the place because it really is feature poor and moneygrubbing to the core.

You would think the richest man on the earth would have more character than to be this kvetch penny pincher but alas, that is what he is. Besides, I would just as soon not be in a place where I would be tempted to throttle SO MANY people.

It's simply loaded with great gross masses of libtards. What a seemingly attractive place for the totally unskilled.

Some say the moniker 'Libtard' is both lazy and offensive. I say lazy and offensive characterizes liberals perfectly.

Ageism Awareness Day 2025
    Ageism Awareness Day
Ageism is said to be prejudice or discrimination against a person or group of people based on their age.

Now whereas I should likely be offended getting on like I am I find the notion humorous instead.

I do not seek age-inclusive anything. Not in my community nor my society.

I am comfortable in my own skin because I have had a successful career and retain skills far beyond those of most others in my midst.

Today is Ageism Awareness Day.

It is observed annually on October 9th since 2022 under the auspices of the American Society on Aging.

The complaints regarding ageism revolve around it impacting health, well-being, and the economy.

It is said that there is an unconscious biases towards people of other age groups called "implicit ageism".

We are encouraged to take action against ageism in its various forms, from stereotypes and prejudice to discrimination.

I suppose were I in need of employment or other things being kept from me this would be my concern as well.

However, I am pretty much self sufficient and confident in my role in retirement.

While I don't feel ageism is an especially "nice" thing it is just another one of those little nasty games people like to play with each other.

Personally, I remain unaffected by ageism and that's the way I like it.

National Hero Day 2025
Charlie Kirk, Hero
Today is National Hero Day. It is a day to recognize real life heroes in your life. By honoring those who go above and beyond to help others we raise them in the collective consciousness of the nation and the world.

This holiday is celebrated annually on October 8th. It encourages us to express gratitude for the acts of courage, kindness, and self-sacrifice demonstrated by individuals such as Charlie Kirk — who gave overwhelmingly of himself to others only to suffer death by assassination as direct result of his concern for us, conservatism, faith, and The Republic.

Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck during audience participation regarding mass shootings in the United States. He was formally pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Investigators stated the gunman was positioned on the roof of a building approximately 142 yards from where he was speaking.
IMHO the left has mischaracterized his public career at every turn and have exhibited multiple varieties of that crass shallow unfeeling existence their politics require.

These selfish austere malefactors flaunt a distinct lack of raising and comportment at every turn. This young man should still be here with his family engaging public discourse and living his life.

His wife should not have been widowed. His young children should not have lost their daddy — particularly in the violent senseless manner of Charlie Kirk's passing.

Rest in peace.

    US Flag Half Staff
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

As a mark of respect for the memory of Charlie Kirk, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, September 14, 2025. I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this tenth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fiftieth.

DONALD J. TRUMP

National Taco Day 2025
    four tacos
I don't know when I became a fan of eating tacos, but it overcame me sometime in my later past and has stuck with me. I think what nailed eating tacos into my likes was my beloved late stepfather and his facility with making a plate full of toasted hard shell tacos in two shakes.

I tell you, I miss him, his presence, and his innumerable talents every day.

A taco is a Mexican dish consisting of a corn or wheat tortilla, typically folded, filled with various mixtures, such as seasoned meat, beans of varying varieties, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.

The main parts of the taco experience consist of the tortilla and its filling, with those specifics of the tortilla's firmness (being soft or crispy) and the nature of the filling can and do vary widely.

The soft vis-à-vis the hard shell are the most common distinction between various tacos and their indigenous regions. Soft, pliable tortillas are typically wheat and those cripsy hard-shell tacos result from frying the shell. I am partial to both varities, just ask any of the three local Taco Bell establishments.

I can down a half dozen taco supremes made with either crispy or soft shells before you can bat an eye.

In the United States National Taco Day is celebrated on the first Tuesday in October.

This makes it October 7 this year.

So if it floats your boat you should go on down to your favorite taqueria ... even if it is the highly americanized Taco Bell and grab yourself a few tacos for a near future meal.

National Plus Size Appreciation Day 2025
plus sized couple
I was a large person most of my life. Nowadays I'm more on the "average" size (whatever that is) and it's a frank statement of the role of nutrition in the lives of human beings.

My nutrition has improved steadily since childhood and I have taken it upon myself to supplement my diet with various nutraceuticals in an effort to get a little extra "umph" in my pursuit of that which is more "normal".

Normal is a spectrum, not a specific point on any reference range.

Today is National Plus Size Appreciation Day.

It is observed annually on October 6th to celebrate the more corpulent individuals and promote body positivity and self love.

What a crock of shit.

The day encourages appreciation for people of all sizes. It highlights their personality notes that their spirits are "larger than life". WHell ... As I recall back in those days I was dating that the "kiss of death" in a prospective date was "She has a great personality".Personality won't get you there with me.

Intellect and drive are what attract me personally. In fact, you can be pretty fugly and I will still find you attractive in the presence of a good set of smarts, instincts, and technical skills. It's how I am. Call me shallow.

So, I hope you will recognize and celebrate the fatties in your life and foster a sense of positivity and self love for their fat asses. Beware, hygiene challenges may exist. I don't tolerate the poor hygiene thing with, about, or for anyone.

Larger than life, I'm sure. Sought out by me? I think not.

Happy National Plus Size Appreciation Day.

National Do Something Nice Day 2025
    bouquet of flowers
Every now and then I try to do something nice for someone.

It's simply not good enough to always be the adversarial cohort in the mix. A role as eternal curmudgeon won't do it for me either.

I must also endeavor to bring pleasure to those in my midst periodically.

It is simply the way that I am.

Today is National Do Something Nice Day.

It goes down each October 5th of the year encouraging us to perform random acts of kindess and senseless acts of beauty directed toward our fellow human beings.

It won't kill us to spend some time being kind and try to make those others we encounter feel special.

This may be done through words, actions, or both.

I suppose the crux of the day is "spreading positivity".

If I can brighten your day I am certainly not above trying to do so. Small gestures of positive impact connect with others and are cumulative. So get out there and be nice for a change.

Happy National Do Something Nice Day to you.

The 7 Words You Cannot Say
George Carlin
When I was a kid I heard the late great George Carlin bit regarding the seven words you cannot say on television.

There was a brief pause on my part after which I chuckled and moved on. My personal stance on the opinion of others in general is "keep it to yourself" and I am never one to sweat opinions, public or otherwise.

So later I learn that the list of "seven words you cannot say" comes from a 1972 comedy monologue by George Carlin called "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television". It was a satirical commentary on censorship and social taboos.

His "seven dirty words," as they became known, were:

Shit
Piss
Fuck
Cunt
Cocksucker
Motherfucker
Tits

I might add that I am known to use these words occasionally to punctuate my personal commentaries, be 'earthy', and if there were a television camera nearby it would not curtail my use of any word because that is the free speaking animal I've always been.

I do, however, attempt to be "audience aware" and not spring some of the more rustic language on those who absolutely could not handle it. I would furthermore like to say that there are a significant number of these delicate types permeating the South.

It seems that Mr Carlin's performance led to a 1978 Supreme Court ruling in a case called FCC v. Pacifica Foundation, which affirmed the government's ability to regulate indecent content on broadcast television and radio.

Well, all I have to say about the matter is "Kiss my ENTIRE ass".

While there are no words officially banned from the English language, these words were deemed "indecent" and restricted from broadcast during certain hours. I don't feel the need to hold my tongue on some schedule set by the government, either.

Today, the fine line between what is considered obscene or indecent in society remains debatable.

As for me, "Give me Liberty or give me Death".

World Smile Day 2025
smile
That pleased, kind, or amused facial expression with the corners of the mouth turned up and the front teeth exposed is called a smile.

This facial expression is said to represent happiness or satisfaction in those presenting them.

Today is a day when we are supposed to take the smile to heart and share them with others.

Today is World Smile Day since 1999.

Held under the auspices of the Harvey Ball World Smile Foundation it is said to be a representation of positivity. The day is held on the first Friday in October. That makes it October the third this year.

Its about reclaiming the meaning behind the smiley emoji by encouraging people to make a others smile and act kindly. This year's theme is "Do an act of kindness. Help one person smile!" So smile if you can ...

But I personally support the grimmace if necessary. It all depends on your orientation and attitude.

Jamal Khashoggi was murdered 27 years ago
    Jamal Khashoggi
In 1998 Journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered at the Saudi Embassy in Istanbul by agents of the Saudi government who were given sham trials and never forced to face any justice for the crime.

This atrocity happened during the first Trump administration.

It was characterized as a deliberate, premeditated execution for which the state of Saudi Arabia was responsible.

The Biden administration was complicit in that immunity from a lawsuit filed against him by Khashoggi's fiancée and a human rights organization, leading US District Judge John Bates who was appointed by that insufferable cowardly weenie President George W Bush, to dismiss the case.

Judge John Bates issued the dismissal on December 6, 2022, citing the Biden administration's decision to grant the crown prince head-of-state immunity. Complicit. Complicit. Complicit. Cowardly.

US Intelligence concluded that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, defacto ruler of Saudi Arabia approved the operation to "capture or kill" Khashoggi. It seems that "absolute" monarchs such as bin Salman are above the law, international or otherwise.

There are no consequences for the perpetrators in this matter. We continue to do extensive diverse business with Saudi Arabia and as such we are simply supporting them in their murderous crime. It would seem that our national sense of morality can be bought in trade for sufficient price.

Rest in peace Jamal Khashoggi and I hope you gain justice before the White Throne in the hereafter seeing how it doesn't seem to have been available to you here on Earth.

October First 2025
Pumpkin
The first of October finds me hopeful for the continuance of these better days we enjoy since the evil and stupid democrats were routed from power. Mr Trump is not a politician and this has made all the difference in his approach to leadership and I personally find it a refreshing change over the Biden/Clinton/Bush political skullduggery bullshit and various mess we have been made to suffer.

The enveloping cooler weather is a big plus for me personally. The autumn of the year is most definitely my time. Historically, the first cold snap happens around fair week which is October 8th through the 19th this year.

So this is the 274th day of the year. There are 91 days remaining until the end of the year.

Noteworthy is the fact that this day marks the beginning of the fiscal year for the United States of America.

Likewise, today is international Music Day which was established by the International Music Council in 1975 to celebrate the diverse expressions and global significance of music.

It is also World Vegetarian Day since 1977. It is held under the auspices of both the North American Vegetarian Society and the International Vegetarian Union to promote vegetarianism. I find the vegetarian nutritional lifestyle to be a good idea. However, the devout carnivore which is me declines to pursue it personally. Something about not being able to go to Longhorn's up Gervais for a nice porterhouse steak repels me. However, if it floats you boat by all means go for it.

Finally, on this day in 1890 the US Congress established Yosemite National Park as the second national park in the country.

So even though the government is in shutdown because the democrats want to give the taxpayer's money to those who are not citizens or here illegally and hand out as much in the way of entitlements as humanly possible — I hope you're as hopeful as I remain for the future and having a wonderful day.

Blasphemy Day 2025
     Satan in Hell

So here we have International Blasphemy Rights Day.

It is observed every September 30 since 2009 in defense of free speech.

It is decidedly not in support of ridiculing a particular religious belief.

Blasphemy laws violate the tenets of our collective freedom.

International Blasphemy Rights Day is observed in reaffirmation of our belief that no religion or sect is beyond criticism.

As the people of Great Britian have found out the hard way, the word blasphemy can be subterfuge for taking over your country.

Muslims and sharia be damned.

They are doing this to Great Britain and getting away with it because the Royal Family consists of a bunch of pussies afraid to speak out for their own subjects and the Members of Parliament are a bunch of equally woke idiots without character or a shred of patriotism in their feeble bodies.

Go there at your own risk.

National Coffee Day 2025
coffee
I am a coffee drinker.

I'm not so much in love with the taste but partake to get jacked up by the caffeine.

I begin the day with a small pot which holds a scant more than two of the 16 ounce cups I typically consume ...

Then I end up pouring out a lot of it after the first cup.

I find myself increasingly unable to finish a single cup. I may have to just buy some caffeine tablets and call it a day.

Today is National Coffee Day.

It is observed on September 29 in the US and Canada. Many other nations observe it on October first. I believe their observance is called "International Coffee Day". Be all of this as it may; it is said that the coffee farmers struggle to make a living wage. With what they charge in the grocery store for the stuff you'd think they are all driving Italian race cars and living in alabaster mansions high above the mountainside fields.

So coffee has gone from condemned by the Catholic church (of course) to an international staple.

I intend to keep drinking it. Not because I like the taste so much as the kick in the butt it gives me to start my day.

Happy National Coffee Day, regardless when you observe it.

World Day of Migrants and Refugees 2025
As usual the United Nations seeks to overrun the world with the dregs of the planet — as evidenced by the Biden-Harris Administration open borders debacle.

While we lack the fortitute to take Biden and Harris along with Schumer as well as

    bushmaster sky viper chain gun
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York
Ilhan Omar of Minnesota
Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts
Rashida Tlaib of Michigan
Greg Casar of Texas and
Summer Lee of Pennsylvania

Out to some wall for a nice Ceaușescuesque firing squad as we should ...

In the spirit of my illustrated improvements to the Southern border wall which the traitor moron Joseph Biden tried to dismantle and sell off at bargain basement prices. What a goddam bunch of idiots the democrats are with their mentally cripped leadership and lack of vision for anything other than gaining power over the taxpayer.

The presence of the UN on American soil remains the greater travesty.

We need to stop our own membership in the United Nations then kick them out with extreme prejudice.

Something like "UN membership: be out in 3 days or be arrested and summarily executed".

World Day of Migrants and Refugees is the United Nations effort to take control of the entire world by flooding it with nasty muslims and other international riff raff who think they can ruin their own countries then come to the United States and force us to both support their worthless asses and submit to Sharia — as IF that would ever happen.

I am for kicking all immigrants out immediately. They are proving to be nothing but trouble. Who needs another H1B visa convenience store operator anyway.

Boo United Nations.
Boo Joseph Biden the traitor.
Boo Kamala Harris the word salad dumbass.
Boo Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York the bartender moron
Boo Ilhan Omar of Minnesota the unpatriotic incestuous somali cunt bitch.
Boo Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts the fugly stupid bald numbskull.
Boo Rashida Tlaib of Michigan the leftist Palestinian whore who would usurp the US.
Boo Greg Casar of Texas the stupid progressive and
Boo Summer Lee of Pennsylvania the Yinzer stupido.
Boo Migrants.
Boo Refugees.

Go somewhere that actually wants you. Oh, I forgot, nobody in their right mind wants your entitlement seeking benefit robbing interloping resource draining stinky asses.

I realize my attitude is severe. No more severe than the murderers imported by the Biden and Harris administration who needs to be held accountable. Put the democrats on trial and get the migrants the hell out of here.

God bless America.

National Ghost Hunting Day 2025
Marleys Ghost
One of the first books I read when I was a child was the works of Charles Dickens.

Within that tome was a story called A Christmas Carol featuring the antics of one Ebenezer Scrooge who was a particularly nasty miscreant miser brought to reality by the visitation of three ghosts:

The Ghost of Christmas Past
The Ghost of Christmas Present
The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come

These spirits were announced by a fourth spirit, the ghost of his late partner, Bob Marley and his spirit scared me fairly well in what was then my tender young elementary school age.

I've been delving into the paranormal these days as a matter of personal interest.

It all began with the now cancelled "Paranormal Caught on Camera".

Before the pussies at the Travel Channel removed both it and "The Dead Files" from my personal consideration by cancelling them both I was an avid viewer having watched both series many times each.

I'm sure that Discovery Plus wishes the powers that be had left the both of them alone for I was their loyal customer for a long time where I viewed these two series.

These days I have been watching reruns of "Unexplained Caught on Camera" and it too is intriguing.

The crux of the situation remains that I don't do any paranormal investigation myself in an effort not to attain some unintentional haunting, attachment, or other manifestations which may arise as the result of this activity.

I mostly just watch the antics of others with extreme relish — and ponder those possibilities.

Today is National Ghost Hunting Day.

It is a day for an annual international investigation of the paranormal. I'm okay with keeping a safe distance — just as far as I can.

So if you're an intrepid ghost hunter I salute you.

Bear with me as I remain in the background as far from the maddening spookage as possible.

Happy National Ghost Hunting Day.
