Folklore Day in Brazil 2024

Lynne S McNeill, PhD
The traditional knowledge of a people is known as their 'folklore'. I was not big on folklore until recently, when I encountered Paranormal Caught on Camera and started hearing the words of one Lynne S McNeill as she explained various aspects of this traditional knowledge to me. Nowadays I am pretty much up to speed on what I now consider to be important information even though it was of much less importance to me previously.

Lynne S McNeill, PhD, is a professor of Folklore at Utah State University. She is an active member of the American Folklore Society, the International Society for Contemporary Legend Research, and the Western States Folklore Society. Her areas of research and publication include legend and belief, folk and fairy tales, the supernatural, and digital culture.
Today is Brazil’s Folklore Day. It is observed each August 22 and is known as "Dia do Folclore" there. It is a celebration of of folk tradition in Brazil and I personally think we could stand for more of that here instead of all the woke crap which substitutes for reality in the United States.

The term folklore was coined by one William John Thoms on August 22, 1846.

I think our history and folklore are much more important than some ridiculous individual claiming to be something beyond their natural law purview and demanding the use of ridiculous inappropriate pronouns they can never own. Regardless, I hope you'll immerse yourself in your own folklore as long as it is real and not some contrived mechanism designed to present something that has never existed.
