The coming cataclysm is here.
We’ve allowed the greed of the financial sector and their penchant for overcharging consumers while overpaying themselves to get away with us.
Why is everybody standing around idly?
Is destitution so dear or being taken to the cleaners so sweet that we would let them do this to us and allow the legislature to conduct business at their snails pace as usual?
We need to take hold of this particular situation and let Citigroup, AIG, and all of the other thieves and scoundrels move elsewhere and ruin others for a change … without our money of course.
They’re doing this because we’re allowing it. The failures of stimulus hinge on the concurrent lack of regulation.
When an industry preys on the taxpayer so blatantly it’s time to either straighten that industry out or seize their assets and exert proper control.
What we have here is a failure to communicate effectively to those who would rob us — then turn around and rob us again that there are consequences. Where are the consequences?
Misdeeds of this caliber and scope deserve swift and effective action which is not happening.
We need decisive leadership, not the usual game of politics at this juncture.
